East Herts Playschemes
This year an average 400 children attended East Herts Summer Playschemes daily at 18 venues over a total of four weeks. Children aged from 8 can attend, free of charge, under the supervision of trained staff and enjoy a wide range of activities such as magic shows, face painting, sports coaching, team games, circus workshops, library visits, arts and crafts, bird displays, fire brigade visits, ball games and competitions.
Festival For Families
The fun doesn't stop at the beach. For six weeks during the summer, the whole family will enjoy the Festival For Families. Whether it's the children's entertainers in the Lower Gardens, Flowers by Candlelight or the Friday Night Fireworks, your holiday is sure to go off with a bang. And, best of all, it's all free!

Hatfield Leisure Centre provides a wide variety of excellent sport and leisure activities. Available activities include Health & Fitness suite, Aerobics, Squash, Badminton, 5-a-side, Creche, and childrens holiday activities.
John Henry Newman Leisure Centre
This dual use, community leisure centre has a floodlit all-weather synthetic pitch and caters for many outdoor sports including football, hockey, tennis, netball and cricket, as well as indoor activities in its sports hall and gymnasium. The centre is open every evening and weekends and a full programme of activities and courses for children is organised for all main and half-term holidays.
